Our Customer Contact team are always there to offer support and advice, while making sure our customers can find the experience that’s right for them. By effectively and efficiently taking incoming calls and working as part of a highly motivated team, you’ll deliver exceptional customer service to maximise customer experience. Career Stories – Sophie King – Contact Centre Team Manager

1. What’s your name, role and what team are you a part of?

Sophie King Contact Centre Team Manager, CCC


2. How long have you worked here, and can you tell us a bit about your journey at HBG to date?

I have worked here since 23rd April 2016 just over 6 years. I started working on the phones whilst completing my GSCE to become more independent and beginning to understand the world of work. Once I had completed my education, I was unsure on my career path so started full time work within the contact centre, after 3 month a position for senior advisor become available which, I was successful in and then I was lucky enough to continue my progression to Assistant team leader, Team Leader and then Contact Centre Team Manager.


3.    Why did you join HBG/what attracted you?

I knew people which were working within the contact centre, and they spoke to highly of the role and it gave them great independent at such a young age and this is something I wanted.


4. In your day to day, what do you find the most exciting, yet challenging, part of your role?

No day is never the same and you will always come across something which you haven’t experienced before, this keeps you on your toes but equally can push you out of your comfort zone. ​​​​​​


5. In what ways have you been able to grow and thrive at HBG and how have you been empowered you to do so?

I have been given great opportunities within my time at HWB, where I have been offered new and challenging roles which keep me busy and learning new aspect of the business. Stacie has been a massive part of my progression where she believes in all of her team and thrive to get the best out of everyone and has empowered me to be the best version of myself with her constant advises and knowledge of the business.

 
6. What makes HBG a great place to work?

Working at HBW is a great place to work as everyone is made to feel welcome and being in the support office you can speak to everyone within the business and gain great communication skills to different departments. ​​​​​​


7. What do you love about the culture at HBG?

Fun and friendly 


8. How does HBG support your development and growth?

Being pushed out of my comfort zone and being able to ask for help when I need it and not made to feel silly for not knowing something.

 
9. What do you see for your future at HBG?

I would like to being able to continue my journey within the Contact Centre or branch out into something new within the business and learning more skill and knowledge around more aspect of the company.

Career Stories – Kristine White – Contact Centre Team Leader

1. What’s your name, role and what team are you a part of?

My name is Kristine White, I am one of the Team Leader’s for CCC 


2. How long have you worked here, and can you tell us a bit about your journey at HBG to date?

I have worked for HWB for 5 years, I started as an advisor then after 6 months I was promoted to a Senior Advisor then followed on to be an Assistant Team Leader then promoted to Team Leader.


3. Why did you join HBG/what attracted you?

I joined HWB to get back to some normality after not working in an office for 10 years. I knew a few people that already worked here & they all said the same thing that it was a fun, friendly environment.


4. In your day to day, what do you find the most exciting, yet challenging, part of your role?

I like to help and coach the team to bring the best out of them. I like to see the team reach their monthly targets. I love to see the team reach their full potential and encourage them to apply for roles within the company to further their careers


5. In what ways have you been able to grow and thrive at HBG and how have you been empowered you to do so?

I have learnt so much whilst here at HWB, I have gained HR training, I have learnt how to coach and train the team. I have received fantastic training on my workshops that I have attended.


6. What makes HBG a great place to work?

Everyone is welcome, everyone gets that chance to grow within the company. 


7. What do you love about the culture at HBG?

HWB is always amending their policies to fit within today’s world. We offer the best packages to cater for everyone. We listen to feedback and amend when needed. We listen to the team feedback and take this on board and change this when needed.


8. How does HBG support your development and growth?

I learn something new every day, if I need additional training, I can achieve this. There are always workshops that I can book onto if I feel they are relatable to me.
